Losing belly flab - Lose baby weight
81Losing belly flab can be one of the most difficult things for women to do especially after giving birth and trying to lose the excess baby weight. I have had three children and struggled for years to lose what is commonly know as the baby fat, and losing baby weight is one of the most difficult things for us women to achieve. Here I am going to get straight to the point and give you several options to choose when losing belly flab form your tummy after giving birth, or even if you haven't had a baby you can join in too. This is mixed with diet and exercise and based on what actually worked for me. Lose weight the hard way as it is much safer and healthier in the long run.

losing belly flab the easy way
Stomach crunches can be a great way for losing belly flab around the tummy area, and you can do them through out the day. Put your hands behind your head with knees bent and gently push your head into a half sitting position. Do this as many times as you can and increase each day. Even five minutes a day will start to show changes in the muscles of your stomach.
Through out the day try and clench your belly in as this can be done whilst at work and no one will even know you are exercising. Pull your belly in as much as possible and hold for a few seconds, then release. Repeat this as often as you can, and with a little perseverance you will start to see results. Also do your pelvic floor exercises as I find this increases the muscle around the tummy area thus enabling you to increase your chance of losing belly flab.

Swim yourself to a flatter belly
Like most of us who want to lose flab around the belly we hate exercise and have tried lots of ways to get rid of the belly fat. In my 41 years I have only ever found one sure way not only to lose belly fat but an all round fat burner. I decided I'd had enough and went to my local swimming centre three times per week for one hour each time. It's incredible how that tummy goes flat after a very short time. I felt healthier and leaner all over.
I picked good swim times when there were no children around and really concentrated on burning the fat around the belly. I know you are thinking it never worked for you before, but think did you really give it a good go? Whats two weeks out of your life to see if this works compared to months of feeling down over not losing your baby fat. Be prepared when you have finished your swimming session as you will be hungry so take some sandwiches and that way you won't want to stuff your face at the nearest burger joint.

Losing belly flab through healthy eating
We know how to lose weight?
Now come on people do we really need to know how to lose weight and follow strict diet plans. Of course we don't. As far as I am concerned we all know what is good for us and what is bad for us. Don't kid yourself that you are going to find some miracle cure because you won't. So here are my list on how losing belly fat is done. Simple, easy, and when followed will give you fantastic results.
- Drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated.
- Cut out eating any white breads and cakes. Eat wholemeal breads only.
- Have some sugars but only in small amounts and try toreplace desserts for fruit.
- Instead of chips and fries try eating jacket potatoes, or boiled potatoes, avoiding roasted potatoes.
- Reduce the amount of dressings on food. Still have your favourites but cut down.
- Chocolate is a strange one as the more you eat the more you want it so try to wean yourself off and have a little as a treat once a week.
- Just do not go to take a way joints as you know you will be tempted to eat rubbish, best to stay away if you can.
- When going out for meals order jacket potatoes, salads and fish. Remember the portions are a lot bigger than you should be having and tell yourself to stop eating when you are full.
- Try not to obsess about losing weight. Enjoy your life and cut down on your food intake. Don't punish yourself if you slip up as we all do at some time or another. Just think of all that belly flab you will lose and how good you will feel knowing the baby fat is disappearing before your eyes.
Losing belly flab with sports
I am not going to go on about awkward exercise regimes and diets to try losing belly fat as we really do not need it. Stick to this simple regime for a few weeks and I am sure once you start to feel a little thinner, healthier and losing the belly flab and baby fat will spur on to do more, as life is for living, and it will not be the end of the world if you are not losing the baby weight and have to keep it a little longer.
Great advice. It's funny how, when you gain momentum, how fast the flab goes away. Thanks
A great hub, one that I need . thanks creativeone59
You are so right about swimming. The great thing about swimming is the workout you get without even knowing it. This is a great hub for everyone to listen to even the men. Keep up the great work.
These are more excellent tips on losing belly fat, if I would just implement them, maybe I'll lose mine. As you said there's no miracle cure, but you know I'm still hoping for one, LOL. Thanks great hub.
Very useful tips - better and safer than Liposuction. :)
Dang, it involves exercise?? lol. Good one, Helen.
My daughter will need all this helpful info. Her baby is due in less than a month. She's already thinking about how to get rid of all the extra weight. I have the ab lounge in the garage, was going to put it in the yard sell she cried out NOOO... I am going to need that.
Love your writing.
Good information! I lost my post-baby weight easily both times, but need to tone up those muscles in the belly. I think I lost weight easily because I didn't gain more than 30 pounds either time and breastfed, which burns calories. Now, to get rid of the lovely stretch marks!
The only way you can do it is through nutrition and consuming fewer calories than your body burns into you are brought into balance. All the exercise in the world won't remove the fat until the caloric intake is balanced with nutritional needs. This is why you see athletes that are in great condition with big bellies! Think NFL linemen. These guys exercise like crazy, but they still consume more calories than needed to maintain the size they need to keep their jobs.
